Tajik Ambassador presents copies of his credentials to Kuwait’s Foreign Minister

Tajikistan's newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait, Khusrav Noziri, has officially commenced his diplomatic duties. On July 1, Noziri met with Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, to present copies of his credentials.

The meeting served as a platform to review the current state of relations between Tajikistan and Kuwait. Both sides explored avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation, with a particular emphasis on implementing agreements previously reached during President Emomali Rahmon’s official visit to Kuwait in November 2024. Discussions also covered opportunities to bolster collaboration in key sectors including trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism.

Ambassador Noziri conveyed greetings from Tajikistan's leadership and affirmed his dedication to fostering closer bilateral ties. Sheikh Jarrah congratulated Noziri on his appointment, wished him success, and reiterated Kuwait's interest in deepening its cooperative relationship with Tajikistan. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on March 31, 1995, and have since been characterized by mutual respect and cooperation across various fields.
