Tajikistan announces third round of university admissions registration

Tajikistan is opening a third round of registration for university and college entrance examinations, allowing eligible applicants to apply between August 29 and September 10. The National Testing Center has outlined specific categories of individuals who can register.

These include those who missed the first or second registration periods, participated but were not selected, or were accepted but could not enroll due to illness. During this final round, applicants can only choose specialties that still have open spots after the main, repeat, and additional repeat admission rounds have concluded. Candidates are permitted to select up to 12 specialties within a single group.

The National Testing Center plans to publish the list of available specialties online after August 17. The registration fee is set at 370 somoni for graduates of Grade 11 and vocational institutions, and 320 somoni for Grade 9 graduates. An additional 30 somoni fee applies for any changes made during re-registration.

This year's total admission quota for Tajik universities and colleges has increased to 74,510 students, a rise of 10,154 places from the previous year. Of these, 13,276 are state-funded and 61,234 are tuition-based. Following the first admission round, 67% of the overall enrollment target had been met.
