Talas Region Reports Strong Socioeconomic Growth, Active Construction

Talas region in Kyrgyzstan has reported significant socioeconomic growth for the first six months of 2026. Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy Ermat Dzhumaev chaired a meeting summarizing the region's progress. The results indicate a positive dynamic in attracting investment, construction, road infrastructure, agriculture, and the social sphere. Currently, construction is underway at 68 sites across the region, with several key infrastructure projects in progress. The region also maintains robust trade and economic relations with 55 countries worldwide. A notable achievement highlighted was the road infrastructure development, with 28 kilometers of roads in Talas being paved ahead of schedule, supported by President Sadyr Japarov’s Stabilization Fund. Despite the positive trends, deficiencies in certain areas were identified. Dzhumaev instructed state agency heads and local government officials to address these issues promptly. He stressed the importance of enhancing accountability among local leaders and ensuring projects are completed with high quality and on time. The region is also preparing to host major celebrations for Kyrgyzstan’s 35th independence anniversary in September, with social facilities slated for completion by the event.
