Tamsui-Kavalan Bridge Management Center Closes for Renovations, to Reopen with New Services by Year-End

The Tamsui-Kavalan Bridge management center in Taiwan is temporarily closing its doors for renovations, with plans to reopen by the end of the year. The center, which recently hosted a "Tamsui-Kavalan Bridge Aesthetics Exhibition" that drew 68,802 visitors, will be transformed into a multi-service venue.

Future plans for the space include the addition of small market stalls, diverse dining options, and platforms for promoting local culture. The North District Branch of the Directorate General of Highways stated that the renovation aims to provide a more comprehensive recreational and cultural experience for visitors. The exhibition's content will partially be moved to the "Taiwan Highway Museum" by the end of the year.

During the renovation period, the management center will be closed to the public. Visitors to the Tamsui-Kavalan Bridge and surrounding areas are advised to adhere to traffic control and safety guidelines. The bridge itself features distinct pathways for pedestrians and cyclists, and strong winds are common, necessitating caution for all users.
