Tangerang City Government Calls Police a Strategic Partner for Security and Social Solutions

The Tangerang City government has affirmed the Indonesian National Police (Polri) as a strategic partner, essential for fostering security and addressing social dynamics within the community. Local officials emphasize that a robust synergy between the regional government and the police force forms a critical foundation for ongoing development and effective public service delivery. During an interfaith prayer event organized by the Tangerang City Metro Resort Police, Deputy Mayor Maryono Hasan stressed the importance of maintaining the strong, two-way communication and partnership that currently exists. "Let us continue to maintain the partnership and two-way communication that has been well-established so far between the regional government and the police, so that it can continue to be strengthened to face increasingly complex challenges," Hasan stated. Hasan highlighted that a conducive public security and order situation (kamtibmas) is fundamental for development, public services, and economic activities in Tangerang. He asserted that the synergy among the city government, security forces, and all community elements is vital. "Security is the main key. All this time, the very strong synergy between the Tangerang City Government, the Tangerang City Metro Resort Police, the TNI, religious leaders, and all community elements has proven to be the main capital in creating a safe, orderly, and peaceful situation in our city," he added. The interfaith prayer event, held in observance of Bhayangkara Day (Police Day), was seen as a reflection of the strong spirit of unity among Tangerang's diverse population. Hasan emphasized the need to nurture tolerance as a social asset for maintaining peace and preventing division. "Today's interfaith prayer is tangible proof that amidst diversity, the value of unity remains firmly held, which is the peace of Tangerang City. Let us continue to nurture this tolerance and not be easily influenced by issues that can divide unity," he concluded.
