Tangerang Selatan UMKM receive product legality and halal certification support

Small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) in Tangerang Selatan, Banten, are receiving crucial support to enhance their product legality and obtain halal certification. A recent event, organized to assist these businesses, focused on providing guidance on obtaining necessary permits and certifications.

Officials explained the process for issuing the "Izin Penerapan Cara Produksi Pangan Olahan yang Baik" (IP CPPOB), a permit related to good manufacturing practices for processed food products. The initiative is designed to help business owners navigate the regulatory landscape, ensuring their products meet quality standards and are legally recognized.

This program aims to elevate the quality of UMKM, which are recognized as key drivers of the Indonesian economy. By securing halal certification and proper product legality, businesses can increase consumer trust and expand their market reach, contributing to overall economic growth.
