Tanzania's Minister of Home Affairs, Patrobas Katambi, has issued a strong warning against anyone violating the country's laws, vowing strict legal action against those who disrupt national peace and security. Speaking at public rallies in Tunduma town and Ileje district in the Songwe region, Katambi urged citizens to be vigilant and report any activities that could threaten national security.

The government will not tolerate anyone who violates the country's laws. Strict legal action will be taken against all those involved in acts that disrupt the peace and security of the citizens.

Katambi emphasized that the law applies equally to all, including government officials. "Even me, the Minister, if I mess up, I will be put in handcuffs and jailed because I will have violated the principles of the law that govern the country," he declared. He stressed that the nation cannot achieve its development goals if it allows "hooliganism" or the use of illegal means to gain power or address social challenges.

The minister drew a parallel between the nation's peace and a beehive full of honey, attracting those who might seek to disrupt it. "Our nation is hunted like a beehive with honey. Let us cooperate together with our leaders to protect the honey in our country so that we all benefit," he urged. He highlighted that Tanzanians have the right to live and work in peace and security and must respect the law, urging them to participate in maintaining it.
