TASPEN Destroys 221,000 Archives to Ensure Accountable Governance

State-owned insurance company PT TASPEN (Persero) has systematically destroyed 221,298 archive units from its 2025 records, reinforcing its commitment to accountable governance. The archives included 102,545 units with retention periods under 10 years and 118,753 units with retention periods of at least 10 years.

The destruction process, conducted in a hybrid format involving the head office and 50 branch offices across Indonesia, adhered strictly to archival regulations and security standards. Corporate Secretary Henra emphasized that robust archive management is crucial for effective, ethical, and accountable corporate governance. He stated that this regular destruction is part of TASPEN's ongoing efforts to maintain information integrity, enhance document management efficiency, and ensure compliance with archival laws.

Since 2021, TASPEN has disposed of over 1 million documents. This periodic destruction ensures an orderly and efficient archival lifecycle, optimizing storage capacity, minimizing information misuse risks, and speeding up access to active records. All procedures followed assessments by the Archival Unit and complied with the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) and the company's archival retention schedule.

This meticulous archive management forms a foundation for TASPEN's service transformation, aligning with its '5T' principles: Right Person, Right Time, Right Amount, Right Place, and Right Administration. The company continues to innovate its services through digital advancements, service quality improvements, and business process refinement, strengthening its role as a center of excellence in social security. The 'Andal by Taspen' application, for example, has been downloaded over 3 million times as of June 30, 2026.
