TASPEN disburses over Rp 1 Billion in Benefits to Civil Servant Families in Riau Islands

PT TASPEN (Persero) has disbursed Rp 1,081,806,097 in benefits from the Work Accident Guarantee (JKK) and Death Guarantee (JKM) programs to the families of two deceased civil servants in the Riau Islands province. This disbursement is part of TASPEN's ongoing commitment to social protection, ensuring that participants and their families receive their rightful benefits in the event of work-related accidents or death during service.

The handover ceremony was attended by TASPEN's President Commissioner, Fary Djemy Franscis, alongside the Branch Manager of TASPEN Tanjungpinang, Agnes Salidesi Ginting. The benefits for the late Nurijanah were presented in the presence of the Regional Secretary of Riau Islands Province and the Head of the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD Secretariat. Similarly, the benefits for the late Abdul Azis were handed over in the presence of the Mayor of Batam.

Fary Djemy highlighted TASPEN's dedication to providing maximum service to all participants, including civil servants and contract-based civil servants (PPPK). This commitment extends to pension programs, JKK, JKM, and Old-Age Savings (THT). The first benefit package went to the heirs of Nurijanah, a PPPK at the Riau Islands Provincial DPRD Secretariat. Despite only being appointed six months prior and having paid contributions for about two months, her full medical expenses due to a work accident, amounting to Rp 649,564,597, were covered. Additionally, her heirs received Rp 182,994,400 in death compensation due to a work accident and Rp 312,800 in returned contributions plus Old-Age Savings benefits.

The second benefit package was for the heirs of Abdul Azis, a civil servant from Sungai Beduk District, Batam City. This included JKK compensation of Rp 164,016,100, JKM benefits of Rp 32,883,300, and Old-Age Savings of Rp 52,034,900. His heirs will also receive monthly pension payments. Furthermore, his children are eligible for scholarship benefits through the Taspen Proteksi Beasiswa program managed by Taspen Life, covering educational stages from junior high school to university.
