Tavua crowned U19 champions

Tavua College has been crowned champions of the Under-19 Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship after a decisive 2-0 victory over host school Labasa College in the final. The team's captain, Waisea Duwai, was the standout player, scoring both goals in the first half. His performance gave Tavua a comfortable lead, which their disciplined defense maintained throughout the second half to secure the national title.

Tavua College's path to the final included a strong 3-0 win against Guru Nanak Khalsa College in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Labasa College advanced to the final after a tense penalty shootout against Ba Sangam College, following a 2-2 draw in their semi-final match.

The championship victory marks a significant achievement for Tavua College, as they also clinched the Open Girls division title. This double triumph highlights the school's success and dominance in the national secondary schools football competition.
