Team Security Korea Aims to Break Down Barriers to Integrated Domestic Security Solutions

South Korea's cybersecurity landscape is evolving, with a growing recognition that relying on single-vendor solutions is insufficient against increasingly sophisticated threats. The private consortium, Team Security Korea, is championing the development of an integrated security framework built upon API (Application Programming Interface) interoperability.

The group recently convened a technical seminar, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and the Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA). Held at the Loccus Hotel in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, the event focused on strategies for API integration and the creation of a cooperative ecosystem among domestic security companies.

Team Security Korea, established under the Ministry of Science and ICT in 2024 and reorganized into its current structure in March 2025, aims to improve the interoperability between Korean information security firms and identify a unified security model. The consortium currently boasts a significant membership, including 179 solution providers and 140 user companies, totaling 319 members.
