Teenager jumps off cliff during family argument; father and mother follow

A family dispute in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, India, tragically ended with three deaths after a 19-year-old man jumped from a cliff, followed by his father and mother.

The incident occurred on Mount Khawadya when the young man, identified as Kunal Chandgude, argued with his parents, Murlidhar and Sangeeta Chandgude, over his demand for an iPhone. According to local media, Chandgude threatened to jump from the cliff after his parents refused his request.

Witnesses reported that the situation escalated over approximately three hours. As firefighters attempted to deploy a safety net, Chandgude's father approached him in an effort to de-escalate the situation. The teenager then jumped, and his father fell with him as he tried to grab him. Tragically, the mother jumped from the cliff shortly after seeing her husband and son fall to their deaths.

Local residents noted that the mountain has become a site for suicide attempts. Authorities are investigating the incident, and autopsies are pending.
