Temitope Osoba died at police station, says late Nollywood actress’ fiancé

The circumstances surrounding the death of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba have taken a new turn, with her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, alleging she died in a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State. This contradicts earlier speculation that her death resulted from complications of breast cancer.

It was a random person that called me around 12 am that she died in a police station in Ikorodu.

Onadeko, who is the Shepherd-in-charge of CCC Onibuore Cathedral, Bogije, Ibeju-Lekki, shared his account in an interview with the Celestial Reality Check. He stated that an unidentified person informed him of Osoba's death around midnight, specifying it occurred at a police station. While he did not know the exact station, he reported himself to a nearby one.

He recounted that Osoba had gone to see another church figure, Mrs. Kehinde Osoba, shortly before her death, accompanied by her hairdresser. Onadeko mentioned he was unable to join them that day due to church programs. He also dismissed claims that Osoba was poisoned or mistreated, and refuted allegations that he misused funds donated for her surgery, stating the money was sent directly to her and not used for his church.

Despite Osoba publicly sharing her battle with breast cancer, including treatment and surgery, Onadeko insisted the illness was not the cause of her death. He confirmed she had battled cancer and undergone surgery, but maintained that her passing was not linked to the disease. He also addressed rumors about donated funds, noting that individuals like Mike Adenuga had offered her cheques.
