Temporary bridge work in Cluj-Napoca reroutes public transport starting June 8

Public transport in Cluj-Napoca will see significant route changes starting Monday, June 8, as work begins on a temporary bridge over the Someșul Mic river. The construction necessitates traffic restrictions on George Coșbuc and Splaiul Independenței streets, impacting several key bus and trolleybus lines.

The Public Transport Company (CTP) has outlined the deviations for routes including the 30 (Grigorescu – Aurel Vlaicu), the M26 metropolitan line (Cetatea Fetei – Cluj-Napoca), and the 54N night line. These changes involve rerouting vehicles, suspending certain stops like Cluj Arena and Hotel Radisson, and adding new ones, such as Aleea Stadion on Uzinei Electrice street.

While tram lines 102 and 101 will maintain their regular routes, other bus lines like 26, 26L, 27, 28, 28B, 41, and 44 are unaffected by these specific diversions. Passengers are advised to consult the updated schedules and route maps provided by CTP to navigate the changes effectively.

The temporary bridge construction is expected to cause disruptions for commuters relying on public transportation in the affected areas of the city.
