Ten-man Kuwait Club salvages a point against Salmiya as Kazma edges Al-Nasr

Kuwait Club was forced to accept a draw after a goalless stalemate against Al-Salmiya in the 18th round of the Zain Premier League. The defending champions played the majority of the match with ten men following Mohammed Daham's red card in the 10th minute, but they managed to hold on for the point.

This result brings Kuwait Club's total to 44 points, placing them just six points away from securing their fifth consecutive league title and 21st overall. Their closest challenger, Al-Qadsia, remains 13 points behind with 31 points. Al-Salmiya moved up to 30 points, maintaining their fourth-place standing.

In another fixture of the round, Kazma secured a much-needed victory, defeating Al-Nasr 2-1. This win ends Kazma's two-match losing streak and boosts their points tally to 30, solidifying their third-place position. Al-Nasr remains in eighth place with 16 points.

The round also saw Al-Shabab edge out Al-Jahra 1-0. Al-Shabab now sits in seventh place with 18 points, while Al-Jahra remains at the bottom of the table with eight points. The league's championship phase, involving the top six teams, is set to begin on Tuesday to determine the title winner and continental competition qualification spots.
