Tenants and corporate employees criticised for skipping National Cleaning Day

Local leaders in Gulu City have criticised tenants and corporate employees for staying away from a National Cleaning Day exercise.

The criticism came as the city continues to face sanitation problems. Leaders said some tenants believe cleaning the areas around their homes is the responsibility of landlords.

They said some corporate employees have adopted a similar view, despite living and working in places affected by poor sanitation.
