Tennis: Hsieh Sisters Win Landisville Doubles Title, Reach Career-High Rankings

Taiwanese tennis players Hsieh I-hsuan and Hsieh I-chen have captured the doubles championship at the Landisville Tennis tournament in Pennsylvania. The top-seeded sisters showcased their dominance throughout the event, culminating in a decisive 6-2, 6-4 victory over the American pair Savannah Broadus and Kylie Collins in the final.

This ITF $100,000 event saw the Hsieh sisters perform exceptionally well, winning all four of their matches in straight sets. In the final, they demonstrated strong focus, securing an early break in the first set and maintaining their advantage despite a mid-set exchange of breaks. They continued their solid play in the second set, overcoming a brief challenge when their opponents came back from 3-1 down to level the score.

The decisive moment came in the seventh game of the second set when the Hsieh sisters broke serve again, ultimately converting their third match point to clinch the title. This win marks their fifth doubles title of the current season, equalling their personal best for a single season.

Following this success, both 26-year-old I-hsuan and her younger sister I-chen, who are both players from former Taiwanese No. 1 Lu Yen-hsun's International Tennis Academy, are projected to see their WTA doubles world rankings rise. They are expected to move from world No. 95 to a joint career-high ranking of No. 89.
