Terroso Agriculture Joins Global Alliance to Boost Nigeria's Cold Chain Infrastructure

Terroso Agriculture, a subsidiary of Terroso Group, has become a member of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA). This strategic move is designed to bolster Nigeria's cold chain infrastructure, a critical factor in reducing the significant post-harvest losses that plague the nation's agricultural sector.

The partnership will allow Terroso Agriculture to tap into global expertise, adhere to international industry standards, and foster strategic collaborations. The company plans to develop modern cold storage facilities, implement temperature-controlled logistics, and adopt advanced preservation technologies. Nigeria faces substantial agricultural produce losses due to inadequate cold chain facilities, impacting food security, farmer incomes, and the overall competitiveness of its agricultural economy.

Through its GCCA membership, Terroso Agriculture intends to drive investments and partnerships that will enhance the preservation and transportation of perishable goods from farms to markets. The GCCA, representing companies in temperature-controlled warehousing, logistics, and transportation worldwide, promotes best practices for maintaining product quality and safety while advancing innovation and sustainability in cold chain operations.
