Tesla Produces 10 Millionth Electric Vehicle, Eyes Ambitious Future Goals

Tesla has reached a significant manufacturing milestone, producing its 10 millionth electric vehicle. This accomplishment comes just six years after the company celebrated its first million vehicles, underscoring its rapid production growth in the electric automotive sector.

The production of the 10 millionth vehicle positions Tesla at the midpoint of achieving one of CEO Elon Musk's ambitious "product goals." Shareholders approved a plan last year that aims for the company to produce 20 million vehicles by 2035. This target is part of a broader strategy that also includes reaching 10 million active subscriptions for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) software, deploying 1 million "bots," and operating 1 million robotaxis.

While Musk previously envisioned Tesla producing 20 million cars annually by 2030, that target was adjusted several years ago as the company's sales growth moderated. Despite this adjustment, the 10 million vehicle production mark demonstrates Tesla's continued expansion and its ongoing pursuit of its long-term objectives in autonomous driving technology and vehicle manufacturing.
