Thai PM Presents Medal of Honor to Prabowo, Citing Military Admiration

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul conveyed deep respect for Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, describing him as an iconic figure within the Thai military. Charnvirakul presented Prabowo with a medal of honor, a token of esteem from the Thai Armed Forces.

During a meeting at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Charnvirakul shared that he had consulted with senior Thai Army officials before his trip. He reported that they expressed immense admiration for Prabowo, considering him a truly iconic military leader. The Prime Minister noted that many young generals in Thailand hold Prabowo in high regard.

Before doing this trip, I asked the senior Army officials for a briefing. They told me that you are truly an iconic military figure.

Charnvirakul recounted that the generals were so eager to meet Prabowo that they wished to accompany his delegation on the visit. To honor this sentiment, he brought several medals to present to Prabowo, emphasizing that they were offered with the "fullest of hearts" by the Thai Army due to their profound respect for him.
