Thanh Thang Thang Long FC HCM City wins Southern qualifiers for Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Championship 2026

Thanh Thang Thang Long FC HCM City dominated the final of the Southern region qualifiers for the Vietnam Football Championship for Workers and Civil Servants 2026, decisively beating Dong Nai 2 FC 6-1. The victory secured them the championship title for the region.

Individual accolades were also presented. Nguyen Duc Manh, goalkeeper for Thanh Thang Thang Long FC HCM City, received the "Best Goalkeeper" award for his crucial saves. Truong Van Nhac, captain of the runner-up Dong Nai 2 FC, was named "Best Player" for his leadership throughout the tournament, guiding his team to their furthest stage yet in the quarterfinals.

Ngo Quoc Dung of Gia Lai FC claimed the "Top Scorer" award. The "Most Improved Player" honor went to Doan Quang Tien of Vinh Long FC. Dong Nai 3 FC was recognized with the "Fair Play" award for their sporting conduct and clean play, while the "Best Fans" award was given to the supporters of PAIHO FC HCM City for creating a vibrant atmosphere.

The Southern qualifiers featured 43 matches, with a total of 252 goals scored. The tournament saw 67 yellow cards and 3 red cards issued. Following these regional matches, eight teams have qualified for the national finals scheduled for 2026. The Vietnam Football Championship for Workers and Civil Servants is organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Tuoi Tre Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Football Federation.
