Vietnam Workers' Football Championship: Southern finalists ready for rematch

The Southern qualifying round for the 2026 Vietnam Workers' Football Championship has culminated with Cong Doan Thanh Thang Thang Long TP.HCM and Cong Doan Dong Nai 2 emerging as the top two teams. They secured their spots in the final after defeating Cong Doan Dong Nai 4 and Cong Doan Dong Nai 3, respectively.

This final match is a highly anticipated rematch, as both teams were the top finishers in Group B and played to a 2-2 draw in their opening encounter. The coach of Cong Doan Thanh Thang Thang Long TP.HCM, Tran Nguyen Thien Trieu, expressed excitement for the upcoming clash, aiming for an "impressive showdown" against their familiar rivals.

The final match is scheduled for June 10 at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City. This championship, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and Tuoi Tre newspaper in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation, is in its fourth year and features 48 teams from across the country.
