The MG3 hatchback has arrived in Mexico, positioning itself as an efficient and technologically advanced option for drivers navigating both urban streets and highways. Launched in 2024 by the British brand MG Motor, this compact yet powerful car boasts a sporty design and is available in a range of colors including gray, black, silver, red, and blue.

Under the hood, all four versions, Cool MT, Style MT, Style CVT, and Excite CVT, are equipped with a 1.5-liter engine delivering 108 horsepower. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The vehicle integrates modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside advanced safety systems such as Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA).

Design elements include distinctive "Hunting Eye" headlights for enhanced aesthetics and visibility, and a multi-functional leather steering wheel. While the MG3 complies with safety standards like ABS and seatbelt reminders, a recent recall has been issued for 2024 models and onwards. This action follows a Euro NCAP test in September 2025 that identified a structural issue with the driver's seat, which showed a displacement of 11.5 mm after a frontal impact. MG has pledged to repair this defect free of charge at its dealerships.

The most affordable version, the Cool MT, starts at $249,000 Mexican pesos, with financing options available including down payments from $48,800 and monthly installments of $2,999 over up to 72 months. This base model features a 5-speed manual transmission, 15-inch steel wheels, and essential comfort and safety features like front airbags, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
