The Exorbitant Fee Independiente Rivadavia Would Owe River to Play Maximiliano Salas

Maximiliano Salas could face his former teammates on Sunday, but Independiente Rivadavia would reportedly have to pay River Plate $500,000 to use him in the match.

The 28-year-old forward joined River in July 2025, when the Buenos Aires club triggered his release clause at Racing for about $9.5 million. After an irregular year, River’s management removed him from the squad following the Apertura tournament.
