Speaking earlier this week, he proclaimed that the "greater jihad" would commence, emphasizing the need for Iranians to "stay away from pointless disputes, disputes that are the product of ego and self-centeredness" to maintain this triumph.

While Khomeini did not specify which disputes he was referencing, the Iranian regime has faced considerable challenges in quelling growing domestic dissent. This was particularly evident during January's demonstrations, which erupted due to worsening economic conditions. Human rights organizations report that security forces killed tens of thousands of protesters and detained many more, imposing a nationwide internet shutdown to prevent documentation of the repression.
