The Juventud Awards red carpet becomes a dazzling showcase of Latin color

The red carpet at Marbella’s Starlite venue turned into a vivid parade of Latin style on Thursday as young talents and established stars arrived for the Juventud Awards. Elvis Crespo, Ana Mena, Marc Anthony and La Oreja de Van Gogh were among the names who passed before photographers.

The ceremony, held in Spain for the first time with UnivisionTelevisa, brought together figures from music, film, television and entertainment. The red carpet outside the La Cantera de Nagüeles auditorium served as the prelude to the 23rd edition of awards that spotlight Latin music and its emerging representatives.

Among the early arrivals was Puerto Rican producer and singer DÍA, who appeared in a jacket with a burgundy flower on his lapel. He told EFE that he was preparing a collaboration with “the Canary,” apparently referring to Quevedo, who also attended the event. Manuel Carrasco, Elvis Crespo and Quevedo posed for photographers but did not speak to the press.

Camilo stopped to chat after arriving with his wife, Evaluna, and announced the release of a song from his next project. Carlos Baute and Marta Sánchez appeared together and highlighted the continued success of a song they recorded decades ago. La Oreja de Van Gogh, recognized as Agents of Change for their social commitment, said they were happy to receive the audience’s support and previewed a return to Latin America on tour next year.

Marc Anthony, Antonio Banderas and Yandel were also among those recognized as Agents of Change. Another surprise came when Sandra García Sanjuan, president and co-founder of the Starlite group, received an award that had not been announced in advance.
