The Third Adı: Kadın Women’s Short Story Contest Opens for Submissions

The third Adı: Kadın Short Story Contest is inviting women to write and submit their own stories, with the resulting anthology planned for readers around International Women’s Day in March 2027.

Organized by the Adı: Kadın Platform, the contest aims to make women’s different experiences, voices and narratives more visible through literature. Submissions opened on Sept. 1, 2026, and will remain open until Dec. 1.

The contest has no subject restrictions and imposes no limits based on race, language, religion, sect, color or identity. Organizers are seeking stories in which different lives, emotions, characters and antiheroes can meet within the same literary selection.

The previous contest drew 807 stories from 17 countries. The selected works were published as a book and presented to readers during the period around International Women’s Day. This year’s project is being held in cooperation with Mahal Edebiyat.

The project coordination team consists of Yasemin Seven Erangin, Ülkü Yağmur, Aliye Düzgün Çadırcı and Özlem Pekcan. The selection committee includes Arlin Çiçekçi, Ayça Erkol, Ayça Güçlüten, Pınar İlkiz, Defne Suman and Didem Ünal Demir.
