Thessaloniki: Three cars engulfed in flames in Pylaia as fire spreads

Three parked cars caught fire outside homes in Pylaia, Thessaloniki, on the morning of Sept. 3, sending thick black smoke into the sky and alarming residents.

The blaze began in one vehicle and spread to two others in the open parking area. Two fire engines and five firefighters rushed to the scene and worked to bring the flames under control.

The fire grew rapidly, with video from the incident showing the vehicles engulfed in flames. Residents were particularly concerned because the cars stood directly in front of nearby houses, but the fire service intervened quickly.

All three vehicles suffered material damage. No injuries were reported. The competent fire service department is investigating the exact cause of the fire.
