Thief Breaks Into Cimahi Ice Cream Shop, Steals Over Ten Million Rupiah

A thief made off with over ten million rupiah after breaking into an ice cream and drink shop in Cimahi, West Java. The suspect, clad in black with a white mask, entered the establishment by breaching the ceiling in the early hours of Thursday, June 4, 2026. The individual then proceeded to steal cash from the register and a mobile phone belonging to the shop.

Ryan, an employee, discovered the break-in when he arrived for work. "I was the first to know the shop was burglarized because I came in yesterday morning. Yes, the condition was messy, the ceiling was broken and the phone in the cash register was gone," he told reporters.

Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, Ryan identified a man dismantling the cash register. The entry point appeared to be a hole in the ceiling near the customer entrance, with some roof tiles also missing. It is believed the perpetrator climbed across the ceiling, breaking through sections to descend near the cash register, possibly stepping on a refrigerator to reach the point of theft.

The incident, which occurred around 5:30 AM, has been widely shared on social media, drawing attention to the brazenness of the crime.
