Vukovar is set to host a massive concert by Croatian artist Marko Perković Thompson, with organizers anticipating a crowd of around 100,000 people. The event, scheduled for August 29, 2026, promises a spectacular show, including a choreographed drone display illuminating the night sky.

The concert is framed as a humanitarian effort, with significant portions of the proceeds earmarked for community development. Funds raised will reportedly contribute to the construction of the "12 Croatian Guardsmen Stadium" in Vukovar and a student dormitory in Zagreb. The city's mayor, Marijan Pavliček, has called for a dignified event and highlighted Vukovar's role as a central point for both Croatia and its diaspora.

Authorities are emphasizing safety and preparedness, urging attendees to be patient, cautious, and to keep a close watch on children. Reminders have also been issued for individuals on medication to bring their supplies and for everyone to stay hydrated.
