Three arrested after disturbance outside Danish supermarket

Three people are in police custody following an altercation outside a Netto supermarket in Rødovre, Denmark, on Monday evening. Copenhagen West police confirmed the arrests to Ritzau, stating that the situation is still in its early stages of investigation.

"We cannot say too much right now, as we are still in the initial phase. But there has been a disagreement between some people. Perhaps some scuffling or fighting," said duty officer David Borchersen. He added that there are unconfirmed reports that a firearm may have been discharged.

Images from the scene show several individuals being escorted away by police in forensic suits. Borchersen also informed Ritzau that a third person, who had sought medical attention for injuries at Hvidovre Hospital, is also considered part of the incident and is in police custody. This brings the total number of arrested individuals to three.

Police are now working to clarify the accounts of the arrested individuals alongside witness statements. Depending on the findings, the suspects may be brought before a judge for a preliminary hearing to determine whether they should be remanded in custody or released.
