Three dead in horror night on Queensland roads

Queensland's roads became the scene of tragedy on Saturday night, with three people losing their lives in two separate collisions. The Sunshine Coast witnessed a devastating accident when a 68-year-old woman was struck by a motorbike while crossing Nicklin Way in Warana around 8 p.m.

Both the woman and the 30-year-old male motorbike rider were pronounced dead at the scene. The incident cast a grim shadow over the region.

Hours later, another fatal crash occurred in Logan. At approximately 10:42 p.m., a car traveling south on Kingston Road collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Parramatta Road in Underwood. A male passenger in his 30s, traveling in the second car, died at the scene.

The female driver of that car sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she remains in serious condition. A second male passenger in the same vehicle is reported to be in stable condition. The driver of the other car involved in the Logan collision was uninjured.

Police are actively seeking public assistance, urging anyone with information or relevant video footage of either incident to come forward as investigations continue.
