Three dead in separate traffic accidents in Peru's Piura region

Tragedy struck the Piura region of Peru as two separate traffic incidents claimed three lives within 24 hours. In the first incident, a severe collision on the road connecting Piura and Chulucanas resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others injured. The crash occurred when a pickup truck collided with the rear of a heavy vehicle carrying bricks. Among the deceased were the pickup's driver, José Takeda Coronado, and the passenger, Gustavo Salazar Campoverde, an officer with the National Police of Peru. Danuska Carrasco Zapata, a candidate for regional council, was among the injured and was rushed to a local clinic due to the severity of her wounds.

Adding to the region's sorrow, a second fatal incident occurred on Tuesday morning. Ricardo Stankovic Ramos, a young motorcyclist from Lima, died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a curb on Raúl Mata Avenue, near the Universidad César Vallejo campus. The accident happened shortly after 4:00 AM, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. These consecutive incidents highlight the ongoing dangers of road travel in the region.
