Three Indonesian Boxers Vie for Finals at Asian Championships

Indonesia fields three boxers in the semifinals of the 2026 Asian U19 and U23 Boxing Championships, aiming for spots in the finals on Sunday, July 12. The event takes place at the GBK Basketball Hall in Jakarta.

Linda Sari Langi Maililin competes first in the Women's Minimum (45-48kg) U23 division against a Mongolian opponent. A win would advance her to the final, where she could face competitors from Kazakhstan or Japan.

Following Linda, Maria Meisita Manguntu enters the ring for the Women's Light Welterweight (65kg) U23 bout against an opponent from Uzbekistan. Her goal is also to secure a place in the final, potentially facing boxers from India or Kyrgyzstan.

Concluding the Indonesian contingent's day, M. Riko Prayogi faces a Kyrgyzstani fighter in the Men's Cruiserweight (85kg) U23 category. He aims to win his semifinal to progress to the championship final, where he might meet opponents from Uzbekistan or Kazakhstan.
