Three Indonesian Students Graduate Cum Laude from Yemen University

Three Indonesian students have achieved academic distinction, earning cum laude honors at Al-Wasathiyyah University in Hadramaut, Yemen. Muhammad Syahrizal Pahlevi from Kalimantan, Muhammad Rohib Arifin from Jember, and Syafril from Riau were among the eight students awarded this high distinction by the university's rector, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Qadir Alidrus.

These accomplished students specialized in fields such as Quranic and Tafsir studies, and Fiqh and Usul. Their success is a source of pride and is expected to motivate other Indonesian students at the university to pursue their studies with greater dedication.

The university's 6th graduation ceremony saw 90 students complete their studies, representing Yemen, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Somalia. The event, held on Sunday, April 28, 2026, was attended by prominent Yemeni scholars and Muslim figures. Notably, the renowned religious figure Habib Umar bin Hafidz was present, conferring diplomas and offering advice to the graduates as they prepared to return to their home countries.
