Three men charged in connection to Manitoba drug investigation: RCMP

RCMP in Thompson, Manitoba, have arrested three men in connection with a drug investigation, executing several search warrants across the town. The operation, involving the general investigative section, crime suppression unit, emergency response team, and police dog services, targeted homes on Queens Bay and Juniper Drive on August 13.

During the searches, officers seized approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 746 grams of a cutting agent, and a substantial amount of Canadian currency. Drug-related paraphernalia was also found. In addition to narcotics, police confiscated a loaded .357 Magnum revolver, reported stolen in Winnipeg, and a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun with ammunition.

A 49-year-old and a 41-year-old, both from Thompson, face multiple gun-related charges, along with charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. A 21-year-old from Calgary, who was wanted on an existing warrant, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, identity fraud, obstruction, and failure to comply with a release order. All three have been remanded into custody.

Two other individuals, a 21-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl from Flin Flon, Manitoba, were also taken into custody but have since been released on undertakings. The RCMP stated that the investigation is continuing.
