Three Police Officers Injured in Vilnius Car Collision

Three police officers sustained injuries on Friday when their service vehicle was involved in a collision in Vilnius. The accident, which occurred at an intersection on Pamėnkalnio Street, also resulted in damage to three vehicles. Two of the officers suffered bruises, while a third may have sustained a broken nose.

The incident unfolded when a "Toyota Prius," driven by a man born in 1970, failed to yield to a police "Ford Transit" service car traveling on the main road. The police vehicle was being driven by an officer born in 2004. The collision occurred as the "Toyota Prius" was attempting to turn into a side street.

Following the impact, the police service car became uncontrollable and crashed into a lamppost. It also collided with and damaged a "Toyota Auris." The driver of the police vehicle and two other officers, born in 2005 and 1994 respectively, were injured. They received medical attention and are being treated on an outpatient basis.
