Three Rewards in Santander Totaling 110 Million Pesos for Isolated Cases: Piedecuesta Seeks 'Alias Monsalve' for Exploiting Children

Santander authorities have announced substantial rewards totaling 110 million pesos to combat crime across the department. In Piedecuesta, a significant reward of 30 million pesos is being offered for information that leads to the capture of an individual known as 'alias Monsalve.' This suspect is allegedly exploiting children and adolescents to carry out illegal and criminal activities, a situation causing considerable concern due to a reported rise in school dropouts linked to this problem.

Alongside the reward, the Mayor's Office and the Secretariat of Education in Piedecuesta are collaborating to encourage these young people to return to school. "We are offering a reward of 30 million pesos to continue generating important actions against alias Monsalve or those who are truly dynamizing and instrumentalizing the children of this municipality," stated the Governorate.

Furthermore, Douglas Javier Arenas, Director of Citizen Security and Coexistence for the Santander Interior Secretariat, announced a second reward of 30 million pesos. This reward is for information that helps identify and apprehend an individual implicated in various violent incidents in Floridablanca. "We want to add 30 million pesos more from the Santander Governorate to strengthen the information about this subject and thus be able to capture him quickly," Arenas confirmed.

In a broader effort to enhance regional security, a third reward of 50 million pesos has been allocated for information that aids in preventing terrorist acts and any actions threatening regional safety throughout the metropolitan area and all 87 municipalities of the department. These combined rewards underscore the government's commitment to addressing various security challenges within Santander.
