Three students arrested for beating teen over alleged harassment of girlfriend

A video circulating on Facebook shows a disturbing act of violence as three male students allegedly beat a teenage boy in the stairwell of Flat Sri Nilam, Ampang. The incident, which took place around 12:31 PM on July 24, 2026, saw the victim taken to the area beneath the stairs of a block where he was assaulted by the three suspects. They reportedly slapped his face and kicked his body.

The motive behind the attack appears to stem from an accusation that the victim had harassed the girlfriend of one of the suspects. This alleged harassment led to the violent confrontation captured in the video. Another male student recorded the assault and shared it within a WhatsApp group, leading to its subsequent spread on Facebook.

Authorities have apprehended the three suspects in connection with the assault. The case is currently being investigated under Sections 147 (rioting) and 507B (criminal intimidation) of the Penal Code. The video of the incident, which shows several other students present, some attempting to break up the fight and prevent further attacks on the victim, has caused concern and prompted swift police action.
