Three Suspects in Custody Over Taxi Robbery

Three individuals are now in police custody following a viral video that captured an aggravated robbery of a taxi driver. The arrests were made after a coordinated effort by the police.

Two suspects were arrested in Nadi, while a 23-year-old man voluntarily surrendered to officers in Lautoka. All three are currently undergoing questioning by the police regarding the incident.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Kasiano Vusonilawe confirmed that the Western Division Taskforce is actively pursuing the fourth suspect, whose identity is known to the police. Vusonilawe emphasized the division's commitment to apprehending all individuals involved in robberies and burglaries.

"All operational efforts are being directed at rounding up those involved in robberies and burglaries, ensuring offenders are brought to justice for what he described as cowardly attacks on innocent people who earn an honest living," Vusonilawe stated. Investigations into the robbery are ongoing.
