Thu Dau Mot University to admit 50 programs in 2026 with diverse admission methods

Thu Dau Mot University has unveiled its admissions strategy for 2026, planning to enroll students in 50 undergraduate programs. The university will employ four distinct admission methods: direct admission and priority consideration according to regulations, scores from the High School Graduation Examination, high school academic records (transcripts), and results from competency assessment tests administered by Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi National University of Education.

For teacher training programs such as Primary Education, Early Childhood Education, Literature Education, History Education, and Mathematics Education, admission will be solely based on the 2026 High School Graduation Examination results. Programs requiring aptitude tests, including Early Childhood Education, Music, Architecture, and Graphic Design, will necessitate participation in entrance exams organized by the university or acceptance of results from other institutions. The aptitude tests are scheduled in two phases, with the first phase accepting applications from May 2 to June 5 and testing on June 18.

A significant focus for the 2026 intake is the emphasis on practical application and industry linkage. Notably, 50% of the university's programs have achieved domestic and international accreditation. The curriculum is designed to be interdisciplinary, aligning with the practical needs of businesses. Students will gain not only specialized knowledge but also professional skills, digital literacy, and innovative thinking, crucial in the current digital transformation and integration landscape.

University representatives highlighted that the programs are continuously updated to meet labor market demands. Students will benefit from extensive hands-on practice in laboratories, workshops, and applied learning spaces. For the 2026-2027 academic year, tuition fees are projected to be between 26 million and 31 million VND per year, following state regulations for public universities. The university also offers tuition fee incentives, including a 20% discount for the first academic year for top entrants and a 20% discount for the entire course for students with siblings concurrently enrolled.
