Thunderstorms and rain expected across several Tunisian regions tonight

Tunis, Tunisia – Localized thunderstorms bringing rain are anticipated across the western northern and central regions of Tunisia on Thursday evening, according to the National Institute of Meteorology (INM).

The rainfall is expected to gradually extend by late afternoon and early evening to the governorates of Sfax and Mahdia. Following this, conditions are predicted to return to partly cloudy skies over the entire country.

Wind will blow from the east, with speeds being relatively strong in the southwest of the country. In other regions, the wind will be light to moderate. The sea will be slightly agitated, becoming locally agitated in the Gulf of Hammamet.

Nighttime temperatures are generally expected to range between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius (81-88 degrees Fahrenheit), with possible peaks reaching 33 degrees Celsius (91 degrees Fahrenheit) in the country's southwest.
