However, folk expert Liao Da-yi cautions against a common misconception that Tian She Ri is solely for financial gain.

Liao explains that the true essence of Tian She Ri lies in sincere repentance to the Jade Emperor, seeking blessings for future prosperity. The real opportunity for attracting wealth, good fortune, and helpful people arrives with Tian Kuang Ri, which coincides with the Tiger Lord's Birthday on the sixth day of the sixth lunar month. Tian Kuang Ri is considered a day when the Jade Emperor descends to Earth to bestow blessings, while the Tiger Lord is revered for protection, warding off evil, and attracting wealth.

For those experiencing financial difficulties or a run of bad luck in the first half of the year, this date offers a prime chance to improve their fortunes for the latter half. Liao suggests that if visiting a temple is not feasible due to time constraints, individuals can achieve similar results by sincerely repenting to the Jade Emperor in a place where they can see the sky. This act of contrition can pave the way for a smoother path ahead.
