Tickets for the Egypt vs. Australia match go as high as LE 400,000

The organizing committee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has announced ticket prices for the upcoming Round of 32 match between Egypt and Australia. Fans can expect to pay between $776 and $8,354 for a ticket, with the higher end equivalent to over 400,000 Egyptian pounds.

The highly anticipated match is set to take place next Friday at 9:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time. The Egyptian national team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, secured their spot in the knockout stage by finishing second in Group G with five points, trailing Belgium on goal difference. Their progression was marked by a victory against New Zealand and draws against Iran and Belgium.

Australia also advanced to the Round of 32, securing second place in Group D with four points, behind the United States. Their group stage performance included a win against Turkey, a loss to the US, and a draw against Paraguay. The 2026 World Cup, which features an expanded 48 teams for the first time, is being hosted across Mexico, Canada, and the United States, running from June 11th to July 19th.
