Tinubu appoints Fayose REA chairman, names 25 others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced 26 new appointments into 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions, with former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, emerging as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), and Major General Junaid Bindawa as chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission.

Among the notable appointments is former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, who has been named the Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). His appointment places him at the helm of an agency crucial for expanding electricity access across Nigeria.

Other key appointments include Major General Junaid Bindawa as Chairman of the National Salary and Wages Commission. The commission also sees eight additional appointments, including Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas as its new secretary.

Former member of the House of Representatives from Lagos, Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas, is the new secretary of the commission.

The list also features appointments for the National Population Commission, Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission, and the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation. The Presidency stated that these appointments are part of efforts to strengthen the leadership and operational capacity of these federal government agencies.
