Tinubu Appoints New Heads for BCDA, NDPHC

President Bola Tinubu has made new appointments within federal agencies, naming Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as the Director General of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA). Namdas, a former member of the House of Representatives and spokesperson for the 8th House, replaces Dr. Dakorinama Alabo George. He brings a background as a seasoned journalist and public relations practitioner, having previously served as Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa State.

In a separate move, President Tinubu has appointed Patrick Obahiagbon as the Executive Director of Strategy & Commercial at the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC). Chukwuma Umeoji has been reappointed as the Executive Director of Corporate Services for the same company. Obahiagbon, who previously served in the Edo State House of Assembly and the National Assembly, takes over from Engineer Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama. Umeoji, a former member of the House of Representatives for Anambra State, returns to his role after a brief departure.

These appointments follow the resignations of the previous officeholders, who stepped down to pursue political aspirations in their respective home states. A statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed that all appointments are effective immediately, signaling a swift transition in leadership for these key agencies.
