Tinubu Consoles Ex-Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, Over Death of Husband, Adeniyi Adeosun

President Bola Tinubu has extended his sympathies to former Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, following the passing of her husband, Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun. Mr. Adeosun died in Lagos on Wednesday at the age of 62.

In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu conveyed his condolences to Mrs. Adeosun, her family, friends, and business associates. He encouraged the bereaved family to find solace in the enduring legacies of faith, service, and charity left by the deceased, whom he described as a devout Christian.

The President noted the numerous tributes and testimonies shared since Mr. Adeosun's death, particularly emphasizing his dedication to supporting the less privileged and making positive societal contributions. He offered prayers for strength and comfort for Mrs. Adeosun and her family, and for the eternal rest of the deceased.

The Adeosun family announced the death in a statement signed by Rev. C. A. Adeosun, remembering Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun as a distinguished businessman and devoted Christian known for his integrity, generosity, and unwavering faith. The statement noted his commitment to his family, community, and God, leaving behind a legacy that impacted many lives. He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, including Kuramo Capital founder Mr. Adewale (Wale) Adeosun, and other relatives. The family requested privacy during their mourning period and stated that funeral arrangements would be announced later.
