Tinubu deploys 79 locally-assembled ambulances to tertiary hospitals nationwide

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has deployed 79 ambulances, assembled locally in Nigeria, to tertiary hospitals across the country. This move is part of a broader strategy to bolster emergency healthcare services and significantly decrease the number of avoidable deaths nationwide.

The advanced ambulances were officially commissioned in Lagos. Professor Wasiu Lanre Adeyemo, the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), presided over the handover ceremony. This initiative highlights the administration's focus on strengthening critical healthcare infrastructure.

By utilizing locally assembled vehicles, the program not only enhances medical response capabilities but also supports domestic manufacturing and job creation.
