Tinubu to unveil book on Buhari July 13

A book of tributes and condolences honoring former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will be unveiled on July 13, marking the first anniversary of his passing. President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to present the book, titled 'Tributes and Condolences in Honour of Muhammadu Buhari,' as part of commemorative activities.

The programme will consist principally of interfaith and interdenominational prayers, reflecting the values of unity, faith, and national cohesion that he upheld throughout his life and his service to our country.

The Central Planning Committee for the one-year remembrance event announced the details at a news conference in Abuja. Boss Mustapha, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Chairman of the committee, stated that the commemorative program will primarily feature interfaith and interdenominational prayers. These prayers aim to reflect the values of unity, faith, and national cohesion that Buhari upheld during his life and service.

Mustapha explained that the event will gather Buhari's family, friends, associates, public officials, and well-wishers to remember his life and pray for the repose of his soul. A select group of individuals who worked closely with the former president will share personal experiences and speak to his historical legacy. The book itself compiles tributes from global leaders, diplomats, and political figures who remembered Buhari as a man of simplicity, resilience, and integrity.
