Tissot's Désir Collection: Poetic Timekeeping with an Off-Center Design and Lunar Phases

Tissot has unveiled its new Désir collection, a line of automatic and quartz watches crafted to embody feminine grace and sophisticated style. The series merges traditional watchmaking with contemporary design, focusing on soft lines and practical wearability.

The automatic Désir watches come in a 28mm steel case, protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. They break from traditional symmetry with an off-center dial layout, featuring a date window at 2 o'clock and a crown at 8 o'clock. The crown is adorned with a multi-faceted synthetic sapphire, a signature detail of the collection. Initial models showcase mother-of-pearl dials, paired with either leather or steel bracelets, exuding timeless elegance. Through a transparent case back, the Powermatic 48 automatic movement is visible, equipped with a Nivachron™ anti-magnetic hairspring for enhanced accuracy.

Complementing the automatic line, Tissot also introduced the Désir quartz watches. These timepieces feature a 29.6mm dial with a romantic moon phase complication. A rotating disc, driven by a 59-tooth gear, accurately displays the lunar cycle, moving one step every 24 hours to reflect the natural progression from new moon to full moon.

The quartz models offer two variants with deep blue aventurine dials, reminiscent of a starry night sky. Additionally, four models feature satin-textured dials in red, beige, silver, or a two-tone rose gold PVD finish. These textured dials refract light beautifully, offering an elegant interpretation of time. The Désir collection continues Tissot's legacy of blending craftsmanship, astronomical fascination, and emotional resonance.
